It is funded and supported by the Friends of Stretford Public Hall. FoSPH is a charitable community enterprise run by its members. All working together, to improve the Public Hall and offer a focal point for the wider community of Stretford.
Co-working offers unique opportunities to develop new and exciting projects with fellow creatives. We are also planning to use the space for events and workshops, not only benefiting the members of Lofthouse, but the wider community too.
The Stretford Public Hall was designed by N. Lofthouse (hence our name!) and completed in 1878 for local philanthropist, John Rylands. It is a truly inspiring building with high ceilings, open spaces and gothic detailing. It makes for a light and spacious place to work, and is already home to many established artists and creative businesses.
Handmade solid wood desktops, trestle legs and designer office chair make for a functional and stylish workspace.
Our kitchen is kitted out with the usual facilities… microwave, toaster, brew making facilities, etc. We also have a sofa area to take a break or catch up with a co-worker.
We have two meeting rooms. One is setup with a large screen for presentations & video conferencing, the second is used for conference and phone calls.
Access to Lofthouse is via security fob and an individual locker is included in the monthly rental. Opening hours are 7am til 10pm, 7 days a week.
We have high speed internet access. No battling for bandwidth here and it’s all inclusive in the monthly desk rental.
We’re lucky to have a large car park that is free to use for all Lofthouse members. The cycle parking is located in a fenced area to the rear of the building.

We are 5 minutes walk from the Stretford Tram stop and there are numerous buses that stop just outside. You can visit Transport for Greater Manchester’s website for more detailed information on how to get to us by public transport.
Lofthouse is based on the ground floor and has disabled toilet facilities.
Lofthouse is open 7am til 10pm, 7 days a week.
